Exam preparation that fits life in Hounslow
Hounslow is a busy, diverse part of West London, and many of the people we help are juggling work, shifts, childcare and a Home Office deadline all at once. Our online SELT English courses are built around that reality: you learn from your own front room, with a real tutor, on days and times you can keep up with.
Each course focuses on the four skills the test checks: speaking, listening, reading and writing. You practise with exam-style tasks, get feedback on mistakes, and learn what to expect so test day feels familiar rather than stressful.
Learners we regularly help
- Partners and spouses joining family in the UK
- Applicants extending a partner or spouse visa
- People approaching Indefinite Leave to Remain
- Skilled Worker visa applicants
- Residents working towards British citizenship
- Anyone unsure which English level applies to them
Match your application to the right SELT level
The level you need depends on the route you are applying under. This is a general guide to help you start planning.
Usually the starting level for a spouse or partner entry clearance application.
Commonly needed when you extend a partner or spouse visa.
Typically required for Indefinite Leave to Remain and settlement.
The usual English level for a British citizenship application.
Requirements can change, so always check the latest Home Office guidance for your application. If you are unsure, our assessment will point you to the right course.

Yes, and many learners find it easier to relax at home. In live online classes and one-to-one sessions you speak with your tutor throughout, hear natural English, and rehearse the kind of questions you will be asked in the real test.
One-to-one tuition suits you if you need extra attention on a weak area, a faster plan before a deadline, or a quiet space to build confidence before joining a group.
What you will need
- A phone, tablet or computer with camera and microphone
- A steady internet connection
- A quiet spot where you can speak out loud
- A notebook for new words and corrections
No special software knowledge is required. We will explain how to join your first class.

Questions from Hounslow learners
Can I prepare for a speaking and listening test online?
Yes. Our live online classes and one-to-one sessions include speaking and listening practice with a tutor, so you get used to answering questions out loud before test day.
How do I know whether I need A1, A2 or B1?
It depends on your type of application. A1 is typically for a spouse visa, A2 for an extension and B1 for settlement, ILR or citizenship. Always check the latest Home Office guidance, and we can help you work out the right level.
How long will it take me to be ready?
It depends on your starting level and how often you study. After your English assessment, a tutor will give you a realistic idea of what you need.
What do I need to study online from home?
A phone, tablet or computer with a camera and microphone, a stable internet connection and a quiet place to practise speaking.
Do you also help with the Life in the UK test?
Yes. We run Life in the UK test classes for ILR and nationality applications, as well as driving theory test classes.
