Our half day fire marshal training course qualifies the learner as a fire marshal and meets obligations under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
This course gives an appointed person a 3 year certification as a qualified fire marshal where a risk assessment or regulations have identified the need for a fire marshal to be appointed in the workplace.
Alongside meeting the obligations of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, this fire marshal training course also equips your colleague with the knowledge and skills to protect themselves and others in the event of a fire. This involves identifying fires, carrying out fire procedures, evacuating staff and tackling small fires.
Unlike many other fire marshal or fire warden training courses, the learners will also receive up to 2 hours of practical fire fighting training where they learn how to use a fire extinguisher in a controlled setting. Optimal training in this area may mean the difference between a small fire being quickly extinguished or spiraling out of control.
This 4 hour fire warden course includes course materials, expert tutoring and practical exercises to give learners in-depth training in the following fire marshal knowledge:
- Practical fire fighting
- Aims of fire safety
- Fire prevention
- Principles of combustion
- Methods of evacuation
- Human behavior in fire
- Actions upon discovering a fire
- Workplace fires
- Means of escape
- Fire growth and spread
- Using fire extinguishers
- The role of the fire marshal
Upon successful completion of the fire marshal training course, each learner will receive a qualified fire marshal certificate which is valid for 3 years.
